During the Covid-19 pandemic, lots of deaf people missed out on key information.
TV briefings were often held without a BSL interpreter. Written information wasn’t always done in plain English.
To help break down these communication barriers, DEX was funded by the National Emergencies Trust and NOVA to share information about the Covid-19 pandemic in an accessible way.
Changes to Lockdown Rules from 19th July 2021
The Government has announced some changes to lockdown rules from Monday. Most of the old rules have now been stopped. Covid-19 has not gone away though. We should all be sensible and carry on looking after our health and the health of those around us.
